This Trojan is an HTML file. It is 2,316 bytes in size.Payload
When launching, the Trojan extracts the following file from its body to the root directory of the C: logical drive:
Ñ:repair.dbg — this file is 185 bytes in size, and will be detected by Kaspersky Anti-Virus as Trojan.JS.KillMBR.b
This file contains assembler commands which will clear the boot sector of the disk.
The Trojan then launches the following command from the command line:
command /c echo q >>c:\repair.dbg
which will launch repair.dbg for execution.
Removal instructions
If your computer does not have an up-to-date antivirus, or does not have an antivirus solution at all, follow the instructions below to delete the malicious program:
- Delete the original Trojan file (the location will depend on how the program originally penetrated the victim machine).
- Delete the following file:
Ñ:repair.dbg
- Update your antivirus databases and perform a full scan of the computer (download a trial version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus).
